Riding Facility

Our riders like to use the area around the mound as a meeting point: people and animals get to know each other, meet friends and, after grooming, set off to the indoor arena or the nearby countryside.

Our renovated indoor riding arena, which is regularly ridden and watered, offers ideal riding conditions over 15m x 45m, with fresh sand from Kirchhellen and a new lighting system. Next door, between meadows and pastures, is the 30m x 55m outdoor arena, also renovated with Kirchhellen sand, and a round pen.

Horse and rider alike can let off steam on the 850m long, 10m wide gallop track, with old oak trunks as natural obstacles and undisturbed by walkers and dogs. The gallop track circuit can be combined directly with the riding terrain: a popular addition to the natural riding facilities at Gut Nettehammer. Afterwards, the bathing area in the Nette river is perfect for a refreshing dip.

From suspension bridge to hill, water hole to seesaw: with 12 different obstacles, the new trail course offers endless variety for horse and human. Beginners and advanced riders alike benefit from versatile training opportunities - not least from the high fun factor on our "adventure playground".

Refreshment in the re-naturalised stream, grazing on the green meadows or simply letting the soul soar… after all the activity, a green “riders’ inn" next to the trail area awaits you and your horse: the perfect spot to relax and unwind in the summer.

For those riders keen to chat with others over a drink or browse through our small horse library, the riders’ inn above the tack rooms is just the place. A seminar room is also available for weekend workshops, courses and holiday programmes. In the five tack rooms you will find new, farm-owned lockers for rent, as well as blankets and lockable saddle holders that can be used free of charge.
